Manufacturing Engineer I

Description:
Reduce scrap and non-conformances through improved process control. Improve sales on-time delivery (OTD) through training and setup reduction. Develop and modernize manufacturing processes, including process planning, fixtures, cutting tools, and assembly. Participate in LEAN initiatives and engage Six Sigma tools. Implement Strategic Deployment (SD) improvements. Interface with suppliers and internal customers effectively. Maintain accurate technical documentation for future reference. Support Work Transfer Projects. Analyze production and technical data. Provide general kaizen support. Identify and evaluate production issues on the shop floor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
BS Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Preferred) 1+ years of experience in high mix and small batch aerospace precision machining or assembly processes Knowledge of manufacturing processes, cutting tools, fixture design, and inspection methods Must have experience with CAD (preferably SolidWorks), quality management systems, and CMM programming Strong communication skills and proficiency in SolidWorks, MS Word, and Excel
