Patient Access Trainer

- Candidate must be a High School graduate.
- 3 - 5 years' experience in patient registration, appointment scheduling and benefit verification.
- Excellent written, interpersonal oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and able to problem solve.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining all Call Center training materials for the Scheduling Representatives and Switchboard Operators.
- Trains all new Scheduling Representatives on all aspects of their scheduling position including benefit verification/insurance package selection and call center metrics.
- Trains all new Switchboard Operators on all aspects of their position.
- Trains all existing Scheduling Representatives and Switchboard Operators on new programs and processes.
- Provides customer service training to all Call Center employees ensuring Creates and maintains all Benefits verification and insurance package training materials.
- Works as a liaison with the Benefit and Authorization Department to ensure all insurance eligibility is verified at the time of scheduling and the Representatives are trained on how to properly review the eligibility feedback to ensure the correct insurance package is selected in Athena.
- Receive, review, and handle all incoming Registration Error Reports ensuring that all errors are corrected, insurance sets updated, and employees are provided additional training to ensure elimination of errors.
- Assist in call center during high volume call times.
- All other duties as assigned.
