Senior Financial Analyst - Hybrid - Chicago, IL
My client is a prominent leader in global manufacturing, renowned for its commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability. With a rich history of delivering superior products and solutions to customers worldwide, they are at the forefront of shaping industries through cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join their FP&A team in North America.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting initiatives within the organization's North American operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging financial insights to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
What you'll do:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for North America, working closely with business units to develop accurate financial projections.
Conduct variance analysis, identifying key drivers impacting financial performance and providing actionable recommendations to management.
Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making, scenario planning, and risk assessment.
Business Partnering:
Collaborate with operational teams to understand key business drivers, operational metrics, and market trends, providing financial insights to support operational excellence.
Partner with sales and marketing teams to evaluate pricing strategies, analyze product profitability, and assess market opportunities.
Act as a trusted advisor to department heads, providing financial guidance and support on strategic initiatives.
Management Reporting:
Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
Develop insightful financial analysis to support month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
Ad-Hoc Analysis and Projects:
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as requested by senior leadership, providing timely and accurate insights to address business challenges and opportunities.
Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct ROI analysis, and assess capital allocation decisions to optimize shareholder value.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building effective relationships across functional teams.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
