**The Business Development Coordinator Role**

The Business Development Coordinator has a key role in helping us achieve that mission. This is a full-time position, working from home in NJ or NY; post-COVID, expected to travel 3x / week to Edison, NJ headquarters.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Solutions (Sales), the Business Development Coordinator supports Vital Decisions revenue growth objectives through business development tasks and the coordination of business attraction and revenue generating activities, while serving as a point of contact for the sales team and potential prospects.

As Business Development Coordinator, you will provide support in the following areas:

* Assist as a secondary point of contact for prospects during the absence of a member of the sales team. This includes gathering relevant project/client information and relaying this information to the appropriate staff contact in an expedient manner. In some cases, Coordinator will need to compile pertinent data and distribute to the prospect directly.

* Serve as Salesforce expert for sales & business development team. Manage and update Vital Decisions Salesforce database under the supervision of the SVP, Strategic Solutions and others as needed. Scrub Salesforce information quarterly for accuracy and removal of duplicate entries.

* Monitor tasks and events in Salesforce to ensure timely delivery of materials to prospects. Accountable for the set-up and generation of reports for team meetings and as requested by the sales & business development team members.

* Create and maintain strategy documents and information related to individual prospects and points of contact. This information will include company profiles, executive research and relevant industry information.

* Assist in the coordination of prospect visits by securing meeting space, catering, collateral/marketing materials, scheduling, and aiding team with follow up information from visits. In some cases, Coordinator may need to participate on prospect visits in the absence of other business development staff.

* Provide assistance in the preparation of project materials and presentations. This includes coordinating with Marketing and other departments on research-specific tasks to determine the best course of action for the compilation of this information.

* Monitor research tools for news and events related to existing prospects that can trigger a meeting, note, or broadened awareness of the activities of the health care industry.

* Aid in the production of monthly sales reports distributed to the sales team and ELT. This task may include gathering pertinent information, drafting and formatting slides, and reviewing with other departments prior to distribution to SVP, Strategic Solutions, SVP of Finance or CEO.

* Partner with Marketing to ensure all prospect lists are appended with appropriate contact information and entered into Salesforce prior to any email or direct mail marketing campaigns.

* Participate in various external and internal meetings and industry events/conferences that require business development staff support and involvement.

* Develop new leads via email campaigns and telephonic outreach

* Other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**

* Bachelors degree with significant coursework in business administration, economics, marketing, public relations or related field strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in communications, business development, marketing, research or public relations work experience

* Minimum of 1 year experience using Salesforce or an equivalent

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**

* Technically savvy (ability to use online resources for research, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to use Salesforce and other tools as required).

* Detail oriented.

* Strives to learn new ways to perform tasks that improve the efficiency or outcome.

* Work with all departments within the organization to satisfy requests on behalf of the sales team.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Must understand and respect the importance of confidentiality in our industry and be able to maintain a professional demeanor while representing Vital Decisions.
