PLC Controls Engineer

As a PLC Controls Engineer, you will be instrumental in addressing controls and electrical engineering requirements within the facility cell. Your role involves collaborating with maintenance to support plant operations, utilizing troubleshooting methodologies to minimize downtime, and enhancing product quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for writing, creating, and modifying programs to align with plant objectives while maintaining warranty and customer liabilities.

The role responsibilities:

* Evaluate, troubleshoot, and design manufacturing process controls for in-house programs, including OEM equipment, to ensure high quality, productivity, and cost efficiencies. * Develop algorithms for controlling devices. * Provide controls engineering support plant-wide and offer engineering support to the facility. * Guide process engineering and maintenance technicians to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement. * Troubleshoot data software interface systems. * Evaluate manufacturing control systems such as Siemens Controls, Robotics , Scanners, Cameras, AGV, SCADA, MES, etc. * Assure machine process quality through internal design/implementation and vendor controls review. * Write and test logic to ensure error-proofing systems function as intended. * Conduct research on product and process deficiencies, recommending modifications.

What we need from you:

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar field is required * 5 years of industry experience * Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical and mechanical systems, multiple controls logic languages software programming * Experience in automotive manufacturing * Experience with Siemens
