They have large Fortune 500 partners that are investing in the technology and systems our Client is producing. The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT support roles, strong technical vendor management skills, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity foundations. The role also involves virtualization and asset management. Familiarity with Jira for tracking and communication and an understanding of the renewable energy sector are desirable. Responsibilities: IT Support: Provide senior-level IT support, addressing complex technical issues and ensuring smooth operations across the organization. Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems and applications. Technical Vendor Management: Manage relationships with 20-30 technical vendor partners. Monitor vendor agreements to ensure the organization maximizes the benefits of each partnership. Evaluate vendor performance and adjust usage as necessary to align with organizational needs. Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices with all technical vendors. Conduct security audits to ensure vendor compliance with organizational security policies. Manage updates and changes based on system impacts and security requirements. Virtualization and Asset Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of virtualized environments. Manage IT assets, ensuring efficient utilization and tracking of hardware and software resources. Nice to Have: Jira: Utilize Jira for tracking tasks, managing projects, and facilitating communication within the IT team and across the organization. Renewable Energy Understanding: Knowledge or experience in the renewable energy sector, understanding its unique IT and security needs. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 4-5+ years in a senior-level IT support role. Proven experience in managing technical vendor relationships and ensuring effective partnerships. Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices, particularly in relation to vendor management. Experience with virtualization technologies and asset management. Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using Jira for project tracking and communication is a plus. Understanding of the renewable energy industry is an advantage.
