Trusted Staffe is partnering with a leading medical center in the serene coastal community of Kodiak, Alaska, to recruit a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for their Long-Term Care unit. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly residents, providing comprehensive care and support in a warm and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Care Planning:

Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans that promote quality of life and well-being.

Medication Administration and Treatment:

Administer medications, provide wound care, and perform other nursing interventions as needed to manage residents' health conditions and ensure their comfort.

Resident Advocacy:

Advocate for residents' rights and well-being, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with physicians, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of resident care following established protocols.

Relationship Building:

Build strong relationships with residents and their families, providing emotional support and fostering a sense of community within the long-term care facility.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Active Alaska Registered Nurse License

National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association

1+ years of nursing experience
