About the role

The Manager, Business Process Reengineer is a member of the Contract to Cash Simplification team within our Commercial Services organization. The BPR Manager is responsible to Develop and lead Business Process Management & Continuous Improvement strategy to ensure the Commercial Services processes, systems, and procedures are optimized to meet business objectives and aligned with the GPO model. This role is a great opportunity to contribute to the transformation of our Contract to Cash processes that will be enabled by process harmonization and leveraging digital solutions. Reporting to the C2C Manager, Transformation, you will:

Understand the end-to-end processes and own the current process maps.

Lead process workstream in transformation programs with a holistic view of process, technology, data, controls, governance, policy.

Proactively identify, drive, and promote business process, digital and automation improvements to deliver improved customer service solutions effectively and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders.

Build business case for initiatives to agree and prioritize value realization.

Drive stakeholder engagement & collaboration.

Ensure stakeholder needs are met and business benefits are realized.

Drive consistency in approach across regions and product groups.

Lead CS initiatives such as knowledge management, NAI, process documentation, policy review, new system development and implementation, etc.

Manage and update existing process maps and control frameworks.

Develop and maintain CS service catalogue.

Manage pipeline of new business for CS.

Lead ad-hoc projects aimed at optimizing value for the company.

Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and provide updates.

Build and maintain a culture of business improvement by providing coaching and guidance to Commercial Services team members and promoting best practices.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Commercial disciplines.

7 to 10 years of experience in supporting business process improvement and leading cross-functional teams or similar.

Demonstrated success in driving Business Process Reengineering (BPR).

Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously and experience working in an agile work environment will be viewed favorably.

Proficient with MS Office Suite, business modeling tools, and business process modeling notation (BPMN).

Highly effective leadership, organizational, time management and analytical skills and ability to work in a high-pace role, managing deliverables and stakeholders whilst maintaining autonomy and self-motivation.

Preferred Qualifications include Lean Six Sigma and Agile certifications (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Product Management). A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team, and alignment with our values of Care, Courage and Curiosity.

It will also be beneficial if you have:

Headquartered in Singapore, and integrated with Rio Tinto’s assets, hubs, and offices globally, Commercial’s purpose is to provide the commercial insights to drive value along the mine-to-market value chain. Commercial incorporates and utilizes the knowledge and capabilities of the global Sell (Sales & Marketing), Buy (Procurement), and Move (Marine & Logistics) organizations, supported by the Commercial Finance functions including Business Analysis, Market Analysis, Risk, Finance Business Partners, Commercial Treasury and other functions, to ensure our approach to business is driven by a commercially astute and innovative mind-set. The Commercial group came under the leadership of the Chief Commercial Officer in 2018.
