GPS Responsibilities:
Familiarity with construction GPS equipment, in particular Trimble systems
FAA Part 107 License or willingness and ability to take and pass the FAA exam for Part 107 license.
Perform basic troubleshooting of a range of GPS machinery over the phone and in person.
Ability to perform site calibrations and ensure existing sites are checked in regularly with control points.
Able to convert and load digital models and files to appropriate machine and handheld formats (data types for machine files: Trimble GCS900, Trimble Earthworks, and Topcon)
Trimble Business Center experience preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel to and from job sites for GPS issues as well as regular drone flights.
Experience with Phantom 4 RTK and/or Inspire 2 drone platforms for photogrammetry operations.
Experience processing drone data from the field into point clouds and orthomosaics for earthwork quantities and takeoffs.
Intermediate computer proficiency needed to use software in the office and field.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and update a job progress schedule.
Create a balanced job budget.
Prepare and review subcontractor pay estimates prior to management's approval.
Prepare and review the owners pay estimate prior to management approval.
Prepare and review DOT/owner submittals.
Schedule and coordinate subcontractors
Attend weekly update meetings with owner.
Order and schedule materials.
Assist the project superintendent with coordination and scheduling of field activities.
Support project management
Maintain accurate job quantities.
Create Supplemental Agreements for submission.
Complete and submit weekly reports.
Conduct Erosion Control inspections and maintain Log Erosion Control sheets.
Be actively involved with conducting a field layout.
Traffic control activities
Education and/or Experience:
2-5 years experience working in Civil Structures preferred.
High School education required.
