Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and supporting the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems.
  • Help oversee IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Provide technical support to staff and manage the IT managed service provider (MSP) to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Work with the Director of IT to develop and implement IT policies and procedures to improve efficiency and security.
  • Monitor IT systems performance and provide reports on their status to the Director of IT.
  • Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software, including vendor negotiation and relationship management.
  • Keep abreast of new technology trends and recommend upgrades and improvements to the IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure data backups are performed regularly and test disaster recovery procedures.
  • Support the training of staff on new systems and technologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of IT.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in an IT support role or similar, preferably within a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, and security principles.
  • Experience managing IT projects and leading a technical support team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Knowledge of current technology trends and a keen interest in following developments in IT.
  • Certifications in ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar would be an advantage.
