Responsibilities:

  • Applies fire and life safety principles to the design of new fire protection systems including detection and suppression and related systems
  • Conducts site audits of fire protection systems performance, as-built conditions, and Code conformance
  • Conducts design reviews, shop drawings reviews, construction site visits and verifications for various fire protection systems
  • Prepares technical reports and review reports of others
  • Coordinates project teams including fire protection technical resources, contractors and other technical disciplines for successful project delivery
  • Investigates, advises, and solves unusual design problems
  • Manages projects from preparation of proposals through to delivery and close-out and be the primary client contact
  • Develops new business opportunities by building relationships with clients and networking in the fire protection industry
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering and Professional Engineering license
  • Minimum of 10 years of fire protection design
  • Ability to conduct business development sales is required
  • Strong technical skills and strong knowledge of fire protection systems design and construction
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and communicate with clients, authorities and contractors
