Role & responsibilities:
  • Define functional, performance and low power requirements for 802.11 (bgn, ax, be, etc.) MAC features and algorithms.
  • Design, develop architecture and test specifications, hardware/software partitioning, data flow, and message sequence diagrams.
  • Develop cross layer system models using tools such as NS3 to validate the architecture.
  • Conduct design reviews with cross teams and obtain buy-in for further implementation and testing.
  • Perform post silicon validation and ensure the implementation meets the design targets.
Qualifications:
  1. Expert knowledge in Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth standards.
  2. Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, LwIP implementation, integration with Wi-Fi MAC, performance tuning depending on application/customer requirements.
  3. Demonstrated experience in MAC algorithm implementation, contributions to product improvements, and field test results.
  4. Hands on experience in MAC simulation tools such as NS3.
  5. Experience in Matlab, Python, C/C++ is a must.
  6. Familiarity with PHY simulation is a plus.
  7. Working knowledge in Git.
  8. Excellent communication skills to communicate clearly and drive collaboration between PHY, Systems and Software teams.

Education & Experience:
  • BSEE with 15+ years
  • MSEE with 10+ years
