Summary of Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Product Engineering Manager, the Technical Product Specialist is responsible for all aspects of new item set up and maintenance. This includes creating new item numbers, completing Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Raw Material Profiles (RMPs) as well as several additional supporting tasks. Product Engineering works with every department in the company and plays a key role in Product Lifecycle Management. This position is an entry level position.

Qualifications

  1. Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of an Associate's degree in an
  2. Engineering or manufacturing related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  3. 1 to 3 years of related experience preferred

Skills/Specialized Knowledge/Abilities

  1. Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

Outlook.

  1. Moderate ability to write and prepare documents/reports/correspondence in a concise, logical, grammatically professional and appropriate format
  2. Intermediate oral English communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor
  3. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, fractions/decimals, proportions, volume and have good understanding of general mathematical principles
  4. Comfort in relating to all levels of management and diversity of personalities
  5. Advanced attention to detail and accuracy in all work
  6. Intermediate ability to prioritize own wide-ranging work load and work independently
  7. Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding business and staff information
  8. Intermediate ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences - primarily staff and vendors
  9. Intermediate ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and vendors
