As a Housekeeper you will:

  • Clean and disinfect patient care areas as assigned to meet the needs of the organization, including public restrooms, administrative areas, kitchen, cafeteria, and meeting rooms.
  • Follow outlined guidelines on the use and storage of all cleaning solutions and other hazardous chemicals to ensure proper safety precautions are being followed.
  • Clean windows, furniture, air diffusers and grilles, doors and entrances.
  • Remove general and potentially infectious medical waste and transport it to a general holding and/or disposal area.
  • Maintain effective communication with Facilities department staff and all other Story Medical departments.
  • Participate in huddles and staff meetings and attend other meetings and events as they relate to the Facilities Department functions.
  • Assist in the distribution of linens.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, patients, and visitors.
  • Ability to understand oral and written communications.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Related work in healthcare.

Additional Details:

Department: Senior Care

Employment Type: Part-Time (16 hours per week)

Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm; Every other Tuesdays/Thursdays and Saturdays/Sundays

Salary Range: $15.00 - $22.50 per hour (competitive and commensurate with experience)
