Human Resources Specialist

As an HR Specialist you will be responsible for performing duties related to various administrative and office duties in order to support the Human Resources Department with HR and training related tasks. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.

- Scan, organize and file various documents
- Handle FMLA and LOA Leaves by keeping records and tracking paperwork
- Assist with creation and editing of training documents, modules and videos
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars
- Maintain employees professional licenses/certificate records
- New employee orientation and onboarding
- Making sure that all time sheets are correct by , entering, adjusting or updating the time sheets as needed.
- Assist with exiting employee paperwork and task
- Provide support for employee engagement initiatives such as events and campaigns
- Other administrative duties as needed (i.e. faxing, copying, typing, scheduling appointments etc.)
- Associate degree in Human Resources Management or 2 years relevant HR experience
- Highly computer literate with capability in email and MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fantastic organizational and time-management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with maintaining confidential and personal information
- Experience with FMLA/LOA
- Experience with Timesheet management
- 2-4 years of Human Resources experience
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files (up to 15 lbs), open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
