Our client is looking to hire a Reservation Specialist within their Lodging division. This position is in Lexington, KY. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for handling and booking reservations for clients by adhering to the client's travel policies and requests.

Reservation Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Securing rooms in accordance with client specifications regarding per diem rates, amenities, distance limits, authorized requestors and hotel preferences
  • Timely response to and completion of client requests, adhering to established deadlines
  • Employing decision-making abilities to identify hotel options aligning with business financial objectives
  • Accurate input of requests and reservations into the system
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the hotel industry and regional markets relevant to clients
  • Meeting all client deadlines and promptly communicating with clients
  • Proactively contacting clients to address outstanding requests before their arrival
  • Resolving client and hotel issues pertaining to reservation changes on a daily basis
  • Collaborating with Account Management and Hotel Network Management teams to identify client-preferred hotels and promote "in-network" options
  • Delivering a consistently high level of service, anticipating client and guest needs
  • Attending all scheduled training, meetings and other assigned events
  • Flexibility in nightly reservation requests based on business requirements
  • Fulfilling other duties as assigned

Reservation Specialist Requirements:
  • Demonstrating ability to work in a team environment and deliver superior service with a high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrating knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and navigating the internet
  • Excellent personal interaction, communication and phone skills along with a high degree of initiative, personal responsibility, ownership and commitment to providing the highest level of customer service
  • Must be available for flexible scheduling
  • May require overtime as needed
  • Seeking candidates able to work the second shift
