Job DescriptionFierce Staffing, on behalf of League One Volleyball (LOVB), is seeking a dynamic and community-focused Community Coordinator & Staff Lead in each of the following markets: Houston, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City. This role is an exciting opportunity to help LOVB activate and promote its new league within diverse communities, connecting the sport of volleyball to a broad audience and driving brand awareness.As a Community Coordinator & Staff Lead, you will be responsible for identifying relevant events and community gatherings within your local market that provide the best opportunities for LOVB activation. You will recommend these events to LOVB, organize and oversee on-site activities, manage a team of promotional staff, and ensure that all activation efforts align with LOVB's mission of inclusivity and community engagement. This role also involves collecting and reporting event data and staff hours back to Fierce Staffing.Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Identification and ProposalResearch and identify community events and gatherings within the market that align with LOVB's mission and audience.Propose a schedule of recommended events to LOVB for potential activations.Build and maintain relationships with local event organizers and community leaders.On-Site Activation CoordinationLead and coordinate on-site activities at approved events, ensuring smooth execution and positive interactions with event attendees.Manage a team of promotional staff on-site, overseeing performance and ensuring they represent LOVB's brand and values.Staff Coordination and ReportingTrack and report hours worked by promotional staff to Fierce Staffing.Collect data on event outcomes, attendee engagement, and any other metrics deemed relevant by LOVB.Provide feedback and insights to improve future activations.Community EngagementBuild community awareness and excitement about LOVB through on-site activations.Ensure activations are tailored to the interests and demographics of each community, fostering an inclusive and welcoming experience.QualificationsFamiliarity with the local market (Houston, Atlanta, or Salt Lake City), including knowledge of community events, local culture, and target audiences.Previous experience in community engagement, event planning, or sports marketing.Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing a team.Passion for sports, especially volleyball, and interest in promoting community-based activities.Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Ability to collect, organize, and report data accurately.Why Join Us?This role offers a unique opportunity to impact your community while promoting the mission and visibility of League One Volleyball.
