The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company (WT) provides construction management services across various sectors throughout the United States. WT projects include healthcare, higher education, laboratories, business offices, manufacturing, retail, food processing, and warehousing. The EH&S Engineer must possess broad technical and managerial expertise. Minimum Candidate Qualifications Bachelors Degree in an Environmental Health and Safety related field Recognized Safety Professional Certification (e.g., BCSP GSP or ASP) Desired Skills and Attributes Strong team membership and commitment to safety culture Professional communication skills, verbal and written Personal development and career commitment Experience and Capabilities Perform site inspections, document hazards, and verify corrective actions Support incident investigations with interviews, data, and documentation Evaluate planning/permits like Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, etc. Knowledge of Industrial Hygiene principles (Hearing conservation, Asbestos, Lead, etc.) Understanding of fire protection and flammable materials management Working knowledge of OSHA regulations Working Conditions Indoor and outdoor work environments, including site inspections Variable work hours based on project needs Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and climb stairs/ladders Required PPE (steel-toed boots, gloves, glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest) Qualified candidates should email their resume for confidential review.
