Epitec POSITION: Tax Manager JOB TYPE: W2 Contract; On-going LOCATION: Lincolnshire, IL (Fully Remote based in U.S) JOB SUMMARY FOR TAX MANAGER: Epitec is seeking a Tax Filing Delivery Manager to oversee and manage the daily administration of tax filing delivery for assigned legal entities including distributions of tax remittances according to tax jurisdiction guidelines. In this role, you will manage client delivery across Tax filing Shared Services, directly and indirectly through team colleagues. You will proactively manage client accounts to mitigate client escalations and are responsible developing colleagues in both tax filing knowledge and client facing delivery. This is a fully remote position Monday - Friday; we are offering $40 - 46/hourly for this opportunity. Benefits are optional. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TAX MANAGER: Ensure overall client delivery and satisfaction in tax filing, acting as the primary point of contact for resolving escalations with urgency and accuracy. Monitor tasks, identify trends, and implement process improvements. Lead root cause analysis and downstream improvement efforts. Work with other domains to ensure client deliverables and improve processes affecting our delivery. Provide timely, accurate responses and updates to clients and internal teams. Handle escalations and communicate complex issues effectively. Conduct research on compliance and regulatory issues, analyze metrics to drive improvements, and ensure accurate reporting and resolution of tax filing matters. Educate and coach associates and clients on tax filing, manage performance, provide training, and support standard operating procedure development. Oversee delivery operations, including coordination with suppliers, review EFT setups, manage checklists, and support new client implementations and interface testing. Utilize tax knowledge and experience to solve problems and ensure accurate and timely delivery of services. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR TAX MANAGER: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll tax filing related field required. 2+ years client interaction and management required. 3+ years people management experience required. Strong computer skills with current technical knowledge required. Master Tax and ADP Smart Compliance experience desired. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR TAX MANAGER: Advanced understanding of payroll and tax and/or related subject matter desired. Advanced understanding of regulatory and legislative guidelines desired. Demonstrated strong verbal & written communication skills required.
