The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care in the clinic and related administrative duties.This is a part-time position working out of our Eagan & Burnsville locations.Week 1:Tuesday: 7:45am - 8pmFriday: 7:45am - 8pmSaturday: 7:45am - 8pmWeek 2: Sunday: 7:45am - 8pmWednesday: 7:45am - 8pmThursday: 7:45am - 8pmA $1,500.00 sign-on bonus will be offered, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for a sign-on bonus Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. We have a comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Plan, Maternity Bundle, 401K with Profit Sharing, Tuition Reimbursement, Gym & Car Rental Discounts and more.Essential Functions:Prepare, stock, and clean exam roomRoom patients and prepare for examMaintain an efficient, organized clinical flowGather and verify pertinent patient information; compile patient medical dataAssist with documentation of patient data into electronic health records systemPrep for injections, change dressings, apply durable medical equipment, and remove sutures/staples under provider directionApplication and removal of casts Ensure coding requirements are followed during entry of patient informationAct as a prescribing delegate to enter medical orders (i.e. medications, laboratory services, imaging studies and other auxiliary services into the computerized provider order entry (CPOE) into patient electronic records under the direct supervision of the providerAble to support multiple specialties May also assist with any of the following:Assist Care Coordinator with patient care servicesAssist with medical supply inventory and ordering Screen patient calls and respond to patient in a timely manner. Document all phone messages in the patient's electronic chartAny and all other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Requirements:High School diploma/GED or equivalent requiredCertified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Athletic Trainer (AT-C), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); or equivalent experience strongly preferredUnderstanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology required Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferredEssential Requirements:Ability to:Complete the Certified Provider Order Entry (CPOE) upon hire if necessaryComply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.Complete job required training.Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendanceWork in the clinic during business hoursTravel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be requiredWork at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlinesCommunicate and interact in a respectful and professional mannerPrioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operationsApply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsUnderstand and execute a variety of instructionsEffectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone systemWork independently with minimal supervisionTravel to other work locations, if requiredPerformance Expectations - i-Health's Core Values: Integrity - Do the right thing and take responsibility for what you do and sayService - Consistently contribute to deliver an exceptional experienceQuality - Act with high purpose, committed effort, and skillful execution to exceed expectationsInnovation - Identify progressive solutions that improve service, teamwork, efficiency, and/or effectivenessTeamwork - Be a part of the whole; support each other positivelyEnvironmental Conditions: Clinic settingNotes: Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and will make reasonable accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008.This position description will be reviewed periodically as duties and responsibilities change.
