Description

The Financial Analyst Supports financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data. Improves operational efficiencies by recommending process improvements and quality controls.

Position Responsibilities

Assist is the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and regulatory reports. Provide financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and other decision support services to executive management. Develop forecasting and reporting templates based on historical performance and future expectations. Coordinate with management to ensure solutions, products, and programs are operational and performing as designed and forecasted Track, compare and report on actual business results against the targeted projections incorporated in the Balance Score Card. Track and report investments to the CFO Produce investment and liquidity forecasting reports. Assist in preparation of annual budget including balance sheet, income statement, Cash flows, depreciation and amortization forecasts Prepare monthly branch production and internal financial performance reports. Implement and maintain existing interest rate risk simulation model and related balance sheet valuation verifying the accuracy, reasonableness, and consistency of data and assumptions. Provide forward looking assessments of interest risk under various balance sheet scenarios, supporting the optimization of the balance sheet risk-return profile. Support ALM related initiatives, including work with external third parties involved in the ALM process as applicable to ensure accurate and timely results. Develop a cost model to evaluate both cost and benefit associated with current and future products and services and include recommend product / service modification, improvement or elimination. Prepare monthly and quarterly sales incentive payout spreadsheets. Provide reporting and analysis to departments as needed. Produce investment and liquidity forecasting reports. Assists management in the implementation of new financial programs and procedures. Provide recommendations on process improvements and quality controls. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3 years to 5 years of similar or related experience (1+ years data analysis, data model evaluation, reporting design and support / 2+ years of operational working experience in a credit union, bank, or other financial service is preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Thorough understanding of Commercial Credit Analysis, including UCA Cash Flow Complete knowledge of Commercial Lending requirements, documentation and closing procedures Knowledge of SBA loan products and loan approval processes Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Possess a broad knowledge of functional, organizational, and transactional processes and practices in financial services industries Ability to create presentations that articulate business problems and present coherent solutions for leadership Ability to compile and analyze data, formulate recommendations and present action plans Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the company Self-starter with ability to work effectively and independently with limited supervision in a fast paced team oriented environment.
