Financial Systems Analyst

Our client, a consulting firm offering extensive support services to government agencies, is currently expanding and looking for a Financial Systems Analyst. This role involves contracting with a government agency in Springfield, VA, to improve the enterprise's financial data processes and management.
What YOU get to DO at this growing company:
- Supports the Financial Management Directorate with financial management operations and resource allocation.
- Troubleshoots systems functionality and translates operational requirements into technical specifications.
- Develops financial data management solutions using VBA, SQL, SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and Excel.
- Conducts research and stakeholder interviews to document requirements and improve processes.
- Analyze the links between business processes, data inputs, and outputs to identify solutions.
- Participates in system engineering and technical exchange meetings, and milestone events.
- Collaborates with FM stakeholders to load quarterly budget authority.
- Develops and implements financial business system
- Defines technical requirements for the development and testing of system changes.
- Leverages financial management knowledge to improve processes.
- Supports the organizations performance management, metrics, and measures.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
- An active TS/SCI clearance, including CI Polygraph, is required
- Bachelors degree or higher in a business-related field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, Computer Science, or Economics.
- 12+ years of overall experience in assessing federal financial business processes, developing financial systems options, and implementing system solutions
- Experience executing or writing advanced Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts for testing and execution.
- Experience in communicating technical issues and working knowledge of the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) in accordance with treasury guidelines.
- Experience with system software development activities, including requirements definition, process mapping, configuration management, testing, and user support.
- Experience in financial programming, planning, budgeting, execution, and/or accounting
