The Marketing Manager is responsible for multiple facets of Skeeter's marketing program by enabling their team to capture and design media at the factory and beyond. Content will range from final pictures of trucks to marketing brochures to online content that is circulated on social media and our website. This position will also be responsible for aiding sales through customer relations at the factory as needed. This is a leadership position that requires the Marketing Manager to understand the art of marketing and lead their team in relevant and timely content creation. The marketing team duties will include capturing factory truck deliveries, offsite tradeshow events, special city events, social media initiatives, and any other marketing-related deliverables. A self-starter and well-organized individual with the ability to understand the feel-good nature of the marketing world is a must. Having the skills to lead a team of artistic marketing professionals and being able to juggle multiple tasks to get the job done will be key to your success.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Photo/Video (marketing team)
- Marketing finals
- Truck action footage
- New truck design releases
- Tradeshow footage
- Factory key events
- Factory action footage
- Responsible for the Graphic Design (marketing team)
- Brochure and print media for all Skeeter and EJ Metals content
- Merchandise design and procurement
- Promotional campaigns
- Primary Online inquiry support following social media posts.
- Manages the Social media platform performance and feedback.
- Must be capable of learning our product for general sales support, including answering product specific questions, detailed discussion, and follow-up directly with customers regarding fire apparatus.
- Will act as the primary point of contact for trade show bookings and scheduling.
- Will be the point person for factory event planning, including internal employee engagement events and formal sales events.
- Assist with the distribution of digital Marketing assets to the dealer network.
- Responsible for brand image management and implementation, keeping it fresh and updated regularly.
- Will be the point person for three major trade show events per year and several smaller regional ones.
- Maintain an annual calendar of required Marketing support attendance.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
- Experience in customer relations or experience dealing with sales.
- Must possess good emotional intelligence skills.
- Needs to understand what the current culture expects from our marketing program.
- Must have good self-leadership skills and be able to lead others.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with their team, in person or remotely.
- Able to supervise a small team of Marketing content creators and oversee their workload.
- Able to travel 25% to 30% of the time to support Sales with Marketing initiatives.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including all Microsoft products and analytical tools.
- High proficiency with time management and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of trade show planning or event planning is a plus.
- Working knowledge of the place-to-order print material for brochures or wearable merchandise.
- The ability to work at the factory and from home is a possible balanced workweek option.
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to drive larger trucks (F550) from one location to another.
- Willing to entertain customers with dinners or other social events on occasion.
- Expected to physically assist the Sales/Marketing team to prepare for marketing events.
- AS or BS degree in Business, Marketing, PM, or related field is preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience communicating directly with customers.
- Previous sales or marketing experience required.
- Experience in custom fire truck apparatus is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a production factory setting is a plus.
- Technical skills or understanding of automotive technology is a plus.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk stairs and/or climb ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
