Client is recruiting for the role of buyer for our Indirect Procurement group. The category management area is CWS - Corporate and Workplace Services. Specifically this category specializes in Facilities Management, Human Resources, Fleet Management, Travel and real estate with an emphasis in Facilities Management.

In the role of Buyer, you will:

To act as the first point of contact for all stakeholders you support, coordinating and re-directing all purchasing activities based on category.

To capture Indirect spend for your sites in the categories you support, and define the relevant Sourcing approach, aligned with the sourcing strategies.

To assist stakeholders: using (preferred) contracts, executing competitive bids, spot buying or coordinate specification-sourcing process towards category management.

Collect and manage internal customers feedback on the sourcing process to identify further TCO reduction and Purchasing value creation opportunities

Prepare and lead fact based negotiation and select supplier for all spend projects as assigned.

Lead contract implementation and resolve issues.

Evaluate and renew contracts by identifying and prioritizing opportunities for reduction of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Ensure use of best practice and alignment with Procurement policies.

Provide team members with direction and support throughout the steps and activities of the strategic procurement process

Develop and manage relationship with preferred/approved suppliers and track/develop their performance and conduct supplier performance evaluations.

Assist supplier on performance improvement, to monitor progress and ensure successful implementation.

To drive the spend towards the preferred suppliers ensuring optimal leverage of the spend and achieving significant supply base reductions.

Provide input to Category Management.

Collect all relevant information for Category management and discuss business needs in order to gain maximum fit for use.

Enforce contract compliance and report and recommend changes to Category management.

What we want to see in you:

Tertiary qualifications, preferably in business administration, commerce, engineering or other relevant discipline.

Knowledge of the Category in terms of products, services and contracts.

In-depth knowledge of Indirect Spend in terms of business dynamics, markets, innovation requirements and growth opportunities.

Recognized qualification in Purchasing and negotiation and contracting skills and change management.

Substantial professional experience (?5 yrs.) in Purchasing (Indirect), Business Intelligence or other relevant discipline
