Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering. The ideal candidate will lead a team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions using SQL, Databricks, Postgres, and Redshift. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of data architecture in the healthcare domain.
Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of data engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions for the healthcare company.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver robust data solutions.
  3. Architect, implement, and optimize data pipelines using SQL, Databricks, Postgres, and Redshift to ensure efficient data processing and storage.
  4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  5. Collaborate with the IT and security teams to ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  6. Conduct code reviews, performance analysis, and troubleshooting to maintain high-quality and scalable data solutions.
  7. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and improve the company's data capabilities.
  8. Experience in Agile methodologies.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering roles and 2+ years leading / maintaining data DevOps for Data Pipeline and ETL solutions with a focus on SQL, Databricks, Postgres, and Redshift.
  3. Proven experience leading and managing a team of data engineers in a fast-paced environment.
  4. In-depth knowledge of data architecture, ETL processes, and data modeling in the context of healthcare industry requirements.
  5. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS).
  6. Hands-on experience with Databricks for big data processing and analytics.
  7. Familiarity with database technologies such as Postgres and Redshift.
  8. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
