This position is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Sr. Regulatory

Specialist/Paralegal

in the areas of regulatory monitoring, regulatory compliance, grant compliance and other legal support functions. This position will support various administrative and paralegal functions in a corporate setting. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in navigating the complex legal, compliance, and policy landscape surrounding telecommunications regulations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide regulatory support for the various entities, including monitoring regulatory procedural schedules, research, understand and summarize various regulatory, legal, grant or policy issues, meeting compliance deadlines, and coordinating internal work efforts. May assist with various functions around grant compliance, monitoring and writing. May assist with various functions around contracts and easements to include review, language drafting, filing, and organizing. Provide administration support including maintenance of company’s filing system, collecting files, organizing, and maintaining reference material as needed. Provide administrative support to Legal and Finance team as well as various work groups as applicable. This may include keeping agendas, maintaining project status reports, and aiding in preparation of presentations for meetings or training. Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities: Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: company policies, procedures, products and services. general office practices and procedures. time management and organizational skills. cyber security policies, practices, and legal/regulatory requirements is preferred. basic understanding of accounting concepts and terminology general understanding of legal principles and procedures Skill to: demonstrate strong analytical and research skills produce accurate and well-organized work, with strong attention to detail articulate key concepts and summarize complex information in writing gather and report numerical data and produce statistical reports. operate various office equipment such as a computer, copy machine, fax machine and multi-line telephone. Ability to: collaborate with other paralegals and various departments within the organization. work completely and accurately under time constraints and deadlines. appropriately prioritize tasks and competing deadlines. learn new programs. visualize, communicate and execute new

processes/procedures. learn new skills/concepts as requested. provide excellent customer service. work in a safe and effective manner.

Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to the following education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, be a self-motivated learner, with a passion for policy and law and a strong attention to detail. An academic background in writing, law, legal studies, or related field is preferred (relevant work experience is also acceptable) Relevant work experience can suffice in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
