Role Overview and Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for someone who has the desire to be instrumental in helping to shape the foundation of a growing IT organization. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and technically minded self-starter with strong and polished communication skills and a passion for supporting IT systems that help drive the business.
  • Be the first point of contact for IT issues. Take ownership of IT issues and follow them through to ensure they are complete even if passed to another colleague in the IT team.
  • Work within a virtual team to provide support to staff around the global with IT issues escalating where necessary to other teams. You are responsible for any escalated calls and will ensure that these are resolved acceptably to both parties.
  • Support local systems such as servers, storage telecoms and networking.
  • Manage company phone systems and time clock systems.
  • Responsible to ensure adequate backups are completed.
  • Monitor the availability of global systems through existing portals and log/resolve/escalate issues.
  • Providing technical assistance and training to computer users on the application software, hardware and computer services.
  • Provide Epicor support.
  • Responsible for IT hardware and software inventory.
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in IT.
  • Epicor knowledge highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and process execution is a benefit.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems to Windows 10 client and Windows Server 2016.
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of HP server and storage technologies.
  • Experience of working in a global multinational company.
  • Knowledge of VOIP and PBX systems.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and its applications.
  • Knowledge of Symantec Backup Exec version 14 to 20.3.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Ability to internalize and advocate the customers position.
  • Operates with the utmost integrity and effective time management.
  • Strong team focus.
  • Logical, thorough and process-based delivery style.
  • Precise and have attention to detail, meeting commitments and delivering continual improvement within communicated and well managed budgetary restrictions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
