We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intermediate Quality Engineer with experience in automated software testing tools and methodologies to join our team. The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality for our software products, ensuring efficient processes and consistent product excellence. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance practices, testing procedures, and collaborating closely with development teams.

This is an on-site position based at our Bedford Park, IL corporate headquarters, with potential for a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.

Design and execute test plans and test cases to identify defects and ensure the quality of the products.

Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.

Facilitate process improvement initiatives to enhance production quality.

Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing technical insights and solutions.

Ensure compliance with the company's quality assurance standards and guidelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues and provide comprehensive solutions.

Lead automation scripting and execution, maintaining of automation frameworks

Execute various types of automated tests including unit, component, acceptance, integration, load, security, scalability, usability, and platform tests.

Contribute to the maturity of the QA automation framework, using industry-standard tools and approaches.

Monitor, analyze, and report on quality performance, making recommendations for improvements.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of quality assurance standards, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

3+ years of experience in Automated Software Quality Assurance.

Strong proficiency in quality management systems, software testing tools, and methodologies.

Proficient in designing and implementing comprehensive test plans.

Experience with automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Jenkins, and pipeline scripting.

Familiarity with testing web applications developed in JavaScript, CSS, XHTML, and backend applications in Java/C#.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment.

Familiarity with CI/CD environments and source code control systems like Git.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.

Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required.
