Join HII Mission Technologies as a Quality Inspector 2 and make an impact on the safety of our US Navy ships.#MVWhat You Will Be DoingWork directly with production, provide oversight and performs required inspections on mechanical, electrical or structural components or systems to ensure conformance with the quality requirements in support of ship construction, overhaul, refueling and repair contracts. Work is performed within the confines of standardized Company and industry policies and practices and procedures. This job has decision-making responsibilities with regard to the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed and the determination of measuring equipment used. Inspections vary from close tolerance dimensional checks to general surveillance of the work in progress. Will provide on the job training to production teams as needed. Will report directly to the Quality Manager all nonconformities.What You Must Have High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. Prior Quality Inspector experience. Familiarization with overseeing / following procedures.Bonus Points For Having Knowledge of the NAVSEA standard items Experience maintaining and tracking OQE (Objective Quality Evidence) Prior Shipboard experience Experience working directly onboard aircraft carrier. Prior NDT / Welding and/or Electrical Experience. Experience Conducting training.Physical RequirementsMay require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
