The annual base salary for this position ranges from $112,600.00 in our lowest geographic market to $251,800.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience. Information about benefits can be found

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate, experienced and forward-thinking Senior Engineer to help lead the Web UI Platform, within Consumer Experience Engineering, to
create and deliver highly engaging, high-quality applications and capabilities with the potential to reach millions of consumers through the Nike brand.
The successful candidate is both deeply experienced with software development and a technical leader who loves mentoring and coaching others, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring quality standards and best practices.
What will you work on?
Your role will include working on the Podium Design System team responsible for designing and shaping the design system for Nike’s e-commerce experiences. This involves the development of services and frameworks that deliver a design system that will improve presentation, reliability, maintainability and accessibility for Nike.com. You will be leading a group of passionate engineers who create the components, patterns, code and guidance needed to continually make our digital products better.
As the Lead Software Engineer, your role will include working as a Technical Lead on a scrum team of 4-5 developers responsible for designing and developing services and resources for Nike's e-commerce experiences in a continuous delivery model. You will provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members and work with stakeholders outside the team. Your customers are the front-end engineers working on Nike digital experiences and a significant part of your job is reaching out to these teams to understand their challenges and supporting their adoption of our tools and services.
Responsibilities
Lead squad of dedicated engineers for the technical development and delivery of elegant and intuitive app features across development teams, partnering with business collaborators, QE teams, and other geo-graphically dispersed engineering teams.
Provide technical leadership in evaluation, conceptualization, design and development of features.
Drive for continuous improvement in performance, scalability, accessibility, reliability, and usability of features.
Provide leadership and mentorship to develop the capabilities of team members.
Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
Lead the breakdown of stories into technical design and implementation tasks and participate in sprint planning and other scrum ceremonies.
Collaborate with product owners to prioritize features and deliverables.
Oversee the release management process, ensuring smooth and controlled deployment of software releases.
Leverage agile methodology concepts for quality, delivery and continuous improvement.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, incorporating them into the development process as appropriate.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or similar field or relevant professional experience, education, and training.
8+ years software engineering experience.
2+ years of progressive experience leading teams, including motivating and technical mentoring of other team members.
You are proficient with React and have an in-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS and Browser APIs.
Excellent knowledge of JavaScript(ES6) and Node.js.
Experience working in a distributed Cloud-based environment with AWS technologies such as S3, ECS, EC2, Lambda, ALB, Route53, CloudFormation, etc.
Prior experience in designing and implementing highly scalable web-based
eCommerce applications.
Experience with CDN, Caching technologies.
DevOps mentality with CD/CI and following code through production operation
and troubleshooting issues during and following releases.
A track record of solving problems and getting things done in a fast-paced, ever-
evolving environment.
Ability to delegate work and mentor the development team and hold team members accountable to quality standards, ensuring that the needs of the business are met, and a high-quality user experience is delivered.
Experience providing technical leadership to a team of developers including providing daily guidance, setting coding standards, and reviewing code required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with business and technical teammates.
Ability to present complex ideas, anticipate potential objections and persuade others to consider your point of view.
Experience creating and executing practical and simple solutions.
