The Advertising Strategist assists in implementing direct response print projects (FSI, affinity ads, Member publication ads, etc.) for membership and insurance growth. The ideal candidate will be able to manage initial creative development to implementation and through to analytics and strategic next step recommendations. This position plays a key role in coordinating the activities of vendors, agencies, internal staff, and other stakeholders to ensure all projects are completed accurately, on time, on budget, and on strategy. Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive KPI reports by gathering, analyzing, and integrating data from both internal and external sources proactively offering solutions and recommendations for next steps to management. Identifies the impact of marketing projects on the various channels (AAA branches, web, and call center) and communicates with all appropriate business units and stakeholders. Ability to proactively initiate projects as appropriate to support the business strategy, including coordinating the updates to existing creatives, creating, and updating project timelines and schedules. Takes initiative to reach out to appropriate stakeholders (internal and external) and coordinate project-related communication to achieve objectives. Collaborate with internal teams on key project deliverables including media planning, creative and product reviews, sales results, data requests, E-Business, and market research. Monitors and stays current on industry trends to maintain knowledge of best practices and legal requirements for assigned product lines. Manage budgets and invoicing to ensure all markets achieve their targeted monthly and annual budgets and CPPs. Manage additional administrative functions such as reviewing and processing invoices for payment, provide content and feedback on presentations, assist with data entry, and manage ad-hoc requests, as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration is preferred. Strong knowledge and experience with direct marketing and project management is required. Experience with developing marketing plans and managing a marketing budget. Experience in coordinating and supporting large-scale, multi-channel marketing/promotional efforts is required. Must have the capability to manage a heavy workload with competing priorities under general direction. Work with Product and Legal teams to ensure accuracy with all relevant aspects of a project. Candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to problem-solve and provide suggestions, alternative options to unexpected situations and scenarios. Must have excellent leadership skills, be extremely detail-oriented (great proofer), a team player. Strong communication and presentation skills are a must as there is an opportunity for stakeholder and Executive presentations. Requires a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and SharePoint as well as solid writing skills. Critical thinker with the ability to analyze data and make strategic recommendations from that data. Successful completion of Auto Club pre-employment assessment, background check, and drug screenings. This position is hybrid – Work at the Administration Offices in Costa Mesa (Monday-Wednesday) and work-from-home (Thursday-Friday).
