Role: Senior Thermal Management Engineer

Compensation: $130k - $145k

Location: Romulus (Hybrid)

The company I'm partnered with is a global leading supplier of fuel system solutions. Using industry-leading technologies, this organization is partnered with the biggest OEM's around the globe, and are looking to expand their team.

They're looking to add a Senior Thermal Management Engineer/Technical that can come on board to consult on different projects and work with customers to solve issues and communicate their knowledge. The ideal candidate will have extensive thermal management knowledge/expertise and come from an automotive background.

Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the development and implementation of thermal management solutions for automotive applications. Provide technical guidance and expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects. System Analysis and Optimization: Conduct comprehensive thermal analysis of automotive systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal solutions into the overall vehicle design. Cooling System Design: Design and implement advanced cooling systems, including heat exchangers, fans, and liquid cooling solutions. Ensure efficient heat dissipation for critical components, such as power electronics and batteries. Materials and Component Selection: Recommend and select appropriate thermal materials and components for optimal heat transfer and reliability. Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality thermal management components. Testing and Validation: Plan and conduct thermal testing and validation of automotive systems. Analyze test data, identify issues, and propose corrective actions. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that thermal management solutions comply with industry standards and regulations. Stay updated on the latest regulatory requirements related to automotive thermal systems. Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in thermal management for automotive applications. Drive innovation through research, development, and implementation of cutting-edge thermal solutions. Project Management: Manage thermal management projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align thermal goals with overall project objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. years of proven experience in thermal management, with a focus on automotive applications. Strong proficiency in thermal simulation and analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD). Experience in designing cooling systems for electric vehicles and traditional internal combustion engine vehicles. Knowledge of automotive power electronics, battery systems, and thermal regulations. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Skills: Certifications in thermal management or related fields. Experience with electric vehicle thermal management systems. Publications or contributions to the field of automotive thermal management. Familiarity with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in thermal management. by Jobble
