Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for materials, components, and services, considering factors such as quality, price, and delivery times.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers, aiming to secure cost-effective pricing and favorable payment conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to understand materials requirements and forecast future needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks, making data-driven decisions to optimize procurement strategies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and maintain up-to-date records of all procurement activities.
  • Implement inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing excess inventory and inventory shortages.
  • Work closely with the materials management team to track materials usage and forecast demand to support production schedules.
  • Evaluate supplier performance through performance metrics and supplier scorecards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Comply with ISO certification standards and quality management requirements related to procurement processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; additional certifications in procurement or supply chain are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in procurement/sourcing roles, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, market trends, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and inventory control practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO certification standards and quality management systems is advantageous.
