High-performing individuals in this role will have the potential for rapid career advancement.Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Human Resources & Administration to spearhead HR operations and administrative functions as we establish our presence in the US market. This role will play a pivotal part in building a strong organizational foundation, shaping US company culture, and driving growth strategy. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who thrives in a startup environment, capable of wearing multiple hats and open to taking on a wide range of responsibilities beyond traditional HR duties.Key Responsibilities:Develop and enforce HR policies, procedures, and best practices in line with US labor laws.Oversee talent acquisition lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.Implement performance management and employee development programs to retain talent.Manage employee relations, fostering a positive work environment, and addressing any grievances or conflicts.Create competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent.Promote a feedback-driven culture for continuous improvement in HR practices.Continuously improve HR policies and promote a culture of feedback and development.Oversee and manage accounting/finance operations for the US organization, collaborating with and leveraging support from the finance team in Japan as necessary. This may include supervising part-time accounting personnel or handling accounts payable/receivable, expense processing, and other financial tasks for the office.Support general administrative and operational functions as required, including but not limited to office management, facilities coordination, vendor management, and process improvements.Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and projects outside of core HR duties as the business needs evolve in our startup environment.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience5+ years of HR experience; or 3+ years of HR experience combined with substantial leadership experience in other professional rolesKnowledge of HR information systems and databasesComprehensive knowledge of US employment laws, regulations, and best practices; or a strong willingness to master themExceptional communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levelsPassion for working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and thriving in ambiguity - Ideally from a start up or other high growth businessStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically an drive process improvementsProven ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion and integrity#J-18808-Ljbffr
