Under the direction of a Plant Manager, the Production Manager directs the daily operations of the blow-molding facility to ensure efficiency and safety, while ensuring all applicable regulatory requirements are met.
Roles/Responsibilities:
+ Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Coordinate activities to establish production requirements and prepare production plans to meet customer needs.
+ Forecast weekly resin requirements based on customer demand and communicate with corporate purchasing.
+ Analyze customer requirements to optimize equipment and personnel utilization.
+ Maintain inventory of raw materials, finished goods, resin, color, consumables, and regrind/lump.
+ Establish tracking systems to measure on-time delivery.
+ Support customer service, sales representatives, and plant leaders with work order status.
+ Manage company and plant capacity models for production lines.
+ Conduct month-end inventory processes and recommend ideas for inventory reduction.
+ Maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
+ Manage plant plant budget and submit to the corporate office.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum three years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the manufacturing industry.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
