Your Impact at SAM:

The Business Development Director role is mainly responsible for leading and growing a high performing Business Development team who are tasked with building and cultivating relationships, as well as generating business with new and existing clients. This role also serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in their designated market.

  • Work with Area Director to create and execute sales plans
  • Develop performance plans for Business Development Managers
  • Lead the organizations business development activities in order to achieve annual new business revenue and growth goals
  • Deliver regular reports on the status of the Business Development pipeline and marketing/outreach activities
  • Grow SAMs Business Development pipeline by cultivating new leads and relationships with potential clients
  • Provide executive level consultation to clients on all aspects of their brand development needs and the services
  • Engage in proposal contributions from SME sta? members (including creative needs)
  • Develop proposal approach/strategy based on the requirements outlined within an RFP Work alongside other senior leadership to develop pitch strategy and pitch team
  • Assist with client meetings by conducting background research, developing a strategy/approach and determining pro?t margins
  • Serve as a lead representative of SMEs at industry events and conferences Formulate Business Development forecasts
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the companys strategic goals
What You Bring to SAM:
  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred, or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in similar industry sales success
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Capable of working both individually and as a part of a very dynamic team of professionals.
  • Above average leadership, attention to detail, and organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills
  • Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
