Responsibilities:

  • Data Mining: Use data query languages (preferably SQL or Python) to extract and manipulate oncology medical records data.
  • Data Cleaning and QA: Ensure the accuracy and quality of data by performing thorough cleaning and quality assurance checks.
  • Preparation of Client Deliverables: Compile, format, and present data deliverables to meet client requirements and expectations.
  • Data Visualization: Create insightful data visualizations using tools like Power BI to effectively communicate data insights.
  • Track Progress with Jira: Utilize Jira to create and manage tasks, track project progress, and ensure clear communication and collaboration within the team.
  • Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to continuously enhance data processes.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency querying databases using SQL.
  • Proficiency coding in Python.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • A passion for data science and its applications in the life sciences and oncology field (highly desirable).
