Job Summary
The Full Stack LAMP Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining web-based applications using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Python, and other technologies. Developers work under the senior engineers to build and improve MTSI’s in-house Workflow Management Software, and any other web-based applications used by MTSI.
Essential Functions
Development Responsibilities
Designs and develops optimized, testable, and maintainable code for internal software tools and in-house Workflow Management Software.
Determines operational feasibility by evaluating problem definition, requirements, and proposed solutions.
Elicits business requirements, performs analysis, designs, builds, tests, implements, maintains, and supports, and documents software, including providing release notes.
Assist in performing monitoring, intervention, escalation, and communication of any issues having an impact on any aspect of the production environment.
Assists in the analysis and design activities associated with the development and maintenance of the database, including designing, and developing database schemas.
Evaluates and presents ideas for technology improvements, including cost proposals and business value.
Performs testing and quality control during the software development life cycle.
Performs CI/CD Release Engineering, including creating and managing a release plan for all development releases and providing instructions to teams on release days.
Drive and define repository and branch management with version control tools.

Physical
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
Must be able to enter data into a computer 70% of the time.
Operate and manage a multi-line telephone console system.
Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent experience
Ability to pass a background check.
Proficient in MS Office with proven experience in data entry.
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test (DOT Thresholds)
Ability to learn the business processes and functionality, including the complexity and dependencies within the systems supporting the business.
3-5 years of production-level experience in JavaScript and PHP working with dynamic web development
Able to create/import/export modules, create classes, utilize multi-threading functionality, perform simple GET and POST requests, and search for existing JS libraries to solve problems
Jquery experience
Experience with writing SQL queries and SQL Scripting using TSQL.
Experience with Cypress or other automating testing software
Dynamic web development experience vs. static
Find joy in working out solutions to tricky problems and take ownership of them.
Able to flex and learn in an ambiguous, growing tech environment with maturing processes.
