Major duties of this position include: Monitors and evaluates the debt portfolio, and engages with investment banks, rating agencies, the financial advisor, borrowers' counsel, bond counsel, and Mass Development regarding debt issuances and refunding opportunities. Creates debt presentations for Trustee meeting materials and updating financial analysis materials for regularly occurring reports and dashboards. Ensures that the allocation of debt proceeds to individual projects aligns with the established funding plan using analytical and problem-solving techniques and knowledge of financial markets understanding of IRS Private Use Regulations. Manages the day-to-day activities of the Debt management, including servicing of debt, monitoring and reporting interest rate risk, validating the swap portfolio mark-to-market valuation, and collateral posting. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or equivalent experience. 5-10+ years of Finance, Treasury and Cash Management experience. Demonstrated experience blending independent work and collaboration to ensure effective debt management and compliance with institutional objectives. Advanced skills utilizing Excel, including complex formulas in order to acquire, organize, and analyze data. Experience in other data management and reporting tools is a plus. Experienced in analyzing data to determine relevant conclusions and suggest appropriate actions to management. Proven track record to multi-task and prioritize routine tasks and ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Demonstrated intermediate oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented, demonstrating accuracy and quality of work output. Ability to work optimally and collaboratively in a small, collegial team environment. Self-motivated, proactive, intellectually curious. Preferred Skills: Public accounting or experience within a higher education institution. Experience with ERP/SAP.
