Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Financial Analyst II to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting strategic decision-making by analyzing financial and industry data, conducting research, and assisting in the development of financial models and forecasts. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of our corporate growth strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a financial analyst with strong analytical skills to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct financial analyses using various methods, such as trend analysis, ratio analysis, and variance analysis, to assess the company's financial performance and identify key trends
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance, evaluate potential investments, and support strategic planning initiatives
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and strategic partners
  • Gather and analyze financial and market data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations, clearly communicating financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to support strategic decision making
  • Research various aspects of the satellite communications market as well as the broader space economy and provide recommendations based on the data
  • Perform other ad-hoc financial and market analysis tasks as assigned
Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills (proficiency in Excel a must)
  • Strong research and data analysis skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present information and ideas to others
  • Have confidence and be able to easily build meaningful relationships with your manager and members of your team
  • Must be able to prioritize your tasks, be self-aware enough to identify and correct mistakes, and not be afraid to ask for help when needed
  • Be active in seeking out ways to improve yourself and gain new knowledge, and be enthusiastic in sharing knowledge with others

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
