As a Rolling Mill Operator, you are responsible for producing rough product from cast forms.

You will have the opportunity to:
  • Set up the Rolling Mills and the support equipment needed to successfully render cast forms into rough product
  • Have a working knowledge of the Target Manufacturing Process, including Casting, Machining, and Finish Preparation of targets
  • Roll product to a predetermined thickness
  • Operate support equipment (Scotchman Shear, bandsaws, Timesaver, etc.) as required to alter the shape of the rolled product
  • Operate annealing equipment (belt furnace or box furnace) to soften material
  • Operate hydraulic presses to flatten material for further processing
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be proficient using micrometers, calipers and measuring instruments
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be proficient with hand and power tools
