Title - Data Product Business Analyst Type - FTE/Permanent Location - REMOTE

Job Summary The Data Product Business Analyst will gather requirements, create appropriate functional and business requirement artifacts, understand the technical nuances behind the business requirements, capture them, and orchestrate the path from complex concepts to easy-to-use solutions. The data product business analyst bridges the business problems and their technical solutions and ensures the technical artifacts meet the business requirements and deliver value to the stakeholders. The Data Product Business Analyst will act as a data steward responsible for inspecting, cleaning, transforming, and modeling data with the goal of highlighting useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making. The data product business analyst is responsible for monitoring and preserving data integrity in support of goals. In this role, you will collaborate with both - a team of technical experts and a savvy group of product owners while collaborating and guiding team members through the applied project process. You are among a team that understands the end user best, focuses on solving problems with user concerns in mind, and articulates all of the details that will drive the solution with the goal of improving adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deploy dashboards to collect data-backed insights. Interpret key business data sets. Deliver insights on potential areas of growth, optimization, and improvements. Support business intelligence strategies with quantitative analysis. Continuous analysis and monitoring of data using SQL, Python, and other programming tools to detect and eliminate data-related errors. Develop and deploy dashboards to collect data-backed insights Interpret key business data sets Deliver insights on potential areas of growth, optimization, and improvements Support business intelligence strategies with quantitative analysis Work cross-departmentally on data-driven strategies that improve business processes and decision-making Ranking and researching user needs and requirements. Creating project-specific artifacts which include meeting notes, Business Stories, Business Req Documents, user flows, functional Requirement docs, etc. Analyze research data and create graphs/visual presentations based on user data for reporting purposes. Update JIRA /other applications as needed to reflect project information. Active participation in business requirement workshops/ project meetings. Analyze and provide input into UI design. Create business test cases and support user testing as needed. Promoting concepts and ideas from the user's standpoint. Detailing design in words, images, and prototypes. Planning user experiences to support user goals and behaviors. Review competitive products to ensure the developing products differentiate and provide additional value. Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Technical Field, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Management Req Work Experience

2-4 years Hands-on experience using SQL, python, or other programming languages for data analysis Req 2-4 years Technical experience in a software development program Req 2-4 years m/UX design Req Skills and Requirements

Strong documentation, writing, and presentation skills. Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver on schedule. Previous experience as a technical business analyst on Information Technology projects. Require Agile Experience - Should have previous experience as a technical business analyst or product owner in an Agile program, utilizing Scrum. Familiarity with solving problems and cultivating cross-group collaboration. Strong technical aptitude, including an understanding of algorithms, system architecture, and user experience design across handheld, tablet, and traditional screen sizes. A clear understanding of responsive design and mobile-enabled web vs mobile app. Ability to think creatively and drive towards innovative solutions. Demonstrated expertise in user story definition, preliminary design wire framing, and conceptual feasibility. Able to work with sponsors from different divisions with diverse perspectives. Must have excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to refine complex interfaces into elegant user experiences. Familiarity /experience in analytics projects. Familiarity/experience in projects for new product development. Familiarity/experience with JIRA Able to see the big picture while still having an eye for detail. Able to provide examples of detailed technical documents.
