Summary:
Our Chester County Infusion suite in West Chester consists of 24 infusion chairs treating patients for head, neck, lung cancers, GI and GU cancers, breast and GYN cancers, as well as melanoma and sarcoma cancers, and blood cancer patients. We also serve a small non-oncology population.
Responsibilities:
Assists in maintaining a patent/customer focus
Supports the delivery of high-quality care
Shares a passion for patient and customer centered care and assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial/operational targets.
Supports the department by performing clinical duties.
Work under the direct supervision of RNs and support numerous fast-paced, high volume infusion area by delivering high quality care to patients and families through collaboration and communication with his/her team.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: taking, recording and monitor vital signs; lifting, turning and feeding patients; providing O2 therapy and reporting acute changes in ventilation and circulation; promoting infection control and safely by maintaining a clean and safe work and patient environment; meeting patients personal hygiene needs and assisting with ADLs; making beds.
Credentials/Education or Equivalent Experience:
H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
2+ years medical office experience
Medical Assistant Certification (required within 90 days of hire)
American Heart Assoc/CPR
