About the role:We are actively seeking to add a dedicated, experienced electrical engineer to our team whose primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and compliance of MEP designs. In this role you will collaborate with the architecture and design teams, review and analyze design documents, perform quality control checks, and contribute to the overall success of our projects. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong attention to detail and extensive knowledge of building system design, preferably mechanical or HVAC. Why PSA? Culture focused Flexible/hybrid work scheduleCommitted to our employee's professional development Key responsibilities: Review and Assess DesignsQuality Assurance: Verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of the designsEnsure effective coordination and integration between the designs and the architectural construction documentsProvide expert advice and guidance to project teams Prepare detailed reports highlighting deficiencies, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities in the reviewed designs. Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other team members to foster interdisciplinary coordination and maintain effective communication channelsContribute to the development and enhancement of internal quality assurance processes, standards, and guidelinesSupport the firm's vision of building an engineering practice by actively participating in business development initiatives, fostering relationships with clients and consultants, and exploring potential expansion opportunities.Knowledge, skills, and experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A professional license (PE) in Engineering is required.8+ years of experience working as an Electrical or Mechanical EngineerStrong knowledge of MEP systems designs, codes, and standards, preferably in the context of public school projectProven ability to identify and resolve coordination issues Demonstrated leadership abilities and a strategic mindset to contribute to the growth and development of your teamProficiency in producing designs in relevant MEP design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Competencies:Ensures AccountabilityStrategic MindsetOptimizes Work ProcessesCommunicates EffectivelyDecision Quality*This is an exempt position in accordance with federal and state law
