Packaging Specialist

JOB OVERVIEW
You'll be at the heart of our production center, helping millions of customers across the world enjoy Hallmark products. You will be loading, unloading, and packing brand-new Hallmark products. You'll be cross-trained across multiple departments by a support team of trainers and supervisors to help you learn every step of the way
SALARY AND SHIFT DETAILS
- Your starting pay will be $17.35 per hour.
- This position is a full-time, 5-day work week position in the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm.
We take great care in every item we create. You will join a diverse team who enjoys fast-paced work. Our teams have physical stamina, an eye for detail, and are reliable to get the job done. Some of your duties include:
- You will unload products from a conveyer belt or table and place them in a carton, skid, or fixture.
- You may operate manual equipment, assist in the production of envelopes by tending the press or operate label machines.
- You will examine the products to ensure product quality has been met and assist in preventative maintenance.
- You will report production-related information and handle required paperwork.
- Flexibility is key as you will assist with all aspects of the different assignments across departments.
- In the production areas there is some noise. Hearing protection is provided by Hallmark.
- Overtime is available and will be covered during the interview process.
Basic Qualifications
- You're at least 18 years of age
- You're able to read, write and understand English
- You have the ability to constantly stand, walk, twist, bend, and reach above shoulder level
- You have the ability to constantly use repetitive hand/wrist motion and perform fine motor skills
- You have the ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Previous warehouse, production, or packer/packaging experience
- Strong communication- and problem-solving skills
