Location Description:
Edith Macy Center is a conference center located in Briarcliff Manor, New York, 45 minutes from Manhattan. Edith Macy Center has more than 14,000 square feet of indoor conference space, 58 sleeping rooms, and we are situated among 405 wooded acres in the heart of Westchester County. At Edith Macy Center, the legacy of success is anchored in our philosophy of balancing living, learning and leisure. It is the formula that creates the signature of unparalleled excellence in quality and service throughout the network of Benchmark resorts, hotels and conference centers.

Overview:
Edith Macy Conference Center is looking for a flexible Front Desk Agent. This is a part-time position and you must have flexibility to work 3PM-11PM shift with varied days including weekends. Do you have experience working at the front desk? If so then this is the place for you. You will check guests in and out, post to folios and answer phones. Additionally you will provide transportation and luggage delivery to our guests. Applicants MUST have:

1yr. min. of hotel experience
A valid, clean driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Applicants also must have computer knowledge, Maestro a plus, and a friendly personality Job Type:
Part-Time Salary:
$19.00
$20.00 per hour SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Basic mathematical skills and considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error.
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.

Education:
High school diploma preferred. Experience:
At least 1 year of hotel experience Must be computer literate, comfortable with accounting Maestro experience is preferred Licenses or certificates:
Driver's license is required

Compensation Range:
The compensation for this position is $19.00/Hr. - $20.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
