The Creative Director is a full-time, salaried position responsible for managing the brands of multiple performance series, several annual festivals, the institutional brand of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, the brand for Pittsburgh's Cultural District, and indoor and outdoor venues that draw more than two million people downtown annually. In addition, this role works with internal teams in education, community engagement, individual and corporate giving, facilities, and real estate to assess needs and guide teams toward the most appropriate and effective methods of visual communication or projects and programs. This work includes managing a team of designers who ensure quality and consistency in the creation and usage of the Trust's brands.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience (10 years preferred) in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills along with experience managing a team. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is required along with graphic design programs (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and HTML. Video creation and editing skills are also necessary. Animation experience preferred. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks/priorities.

B.A. or B.S. in design, multimedia technology, marketing, communications, or a related field is required. The salary range starts at $87,000.
