Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Operations:
  • Drive sales and improve operational efficiency, staying adaptable to changes in the automotive industry.
Process Management:
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes within the parts department and coordinate with other departments to foster growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
Daily Operations:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the parts department, including forecasting goals, managing inventory, and building business relationships.
Staff Management:
  • Handle all management responsibilities for the parts department, including training, motivating, and ensuring staff performance.
Software Proficiency:
  • Utilize various automotive software programs effectively to manage departmental operations.
Inventory Management:
  • Ensure inventory availability by communicating with service, sales, and wholesale account representatives. Manage inventory payables and receivables, maintain stock order returns, and oversee the issuance of parts and accessories to mechanics.
Customer Service:
  • Provide exemplary service to all dealership customers while growing the parts department in other areas.
Policy Adherence:
  • Reinforce and adhere to company policies.
Meetings:
  • Attend manager meetings regularly.
Additional Duties:

Daily:
  • Print overnight reports, run cashiering reports, process invoices, check in and receipt parts, approve or reject pending stock suggestions, manage warranty parts returns, place daily parts orders, and run End of Day reports.
Weekly:
  • Generate automatic stock orders for batteries, check and reorder bulk oil and chemicals, perform general cleaning, adjust negative on-hand quantities, and conduct physical inventory counts.
Monthly:
  • Close out the month, review special order returns, manage parts returns, and ensure the return process is completed by the 10th of the month.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in parts and management.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically related to automotive digital programs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Proven track record of successful parts or service sales.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to build a sense of teamwork within the dealership.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug screening.
