They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer I to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess technical proficiency in manufacturing, strong project management abilities, and a dedication to process excellence. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, leading projects aimed at enhancing our manufacturing methods, designs, and documentation to improve efficiency, reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques to resolve issues, ensuring documented results.
  • Provide direct support to the operations team.
  • Lead new projects from development through delivery, overseeing long-term cost, quality, and delivery considerations.
  • Support qualification and validation activities for manufacturing equipment and special processes.
  • Design and implement robust production processes, ensuring process capabilities meet business requirements.
  • Demonstrate ownership and manage project assignments with a broad scope, prioritizing and completing work in a timely manner.
  • Develop work instructions and necessary documentation to train associates and maintain manufacturing proficiency.
  • Use statistical and financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement in quality, cost reduction, lead time reduction, and scrap reduction.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing and Theory of Constraints tools to optimize processes toward achieving cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to explore, test, and implement new manufacturing concepts, tooling, and equipment, managing project plans, timelines, and budgets accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline with 5 years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in an ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and root cause analysis tools.
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate within teams and cross-functionally to expedite critical project tasks.
  • Strong understanding and ability to lead Lean or Theory of Constraints improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Solidworks or similar CAD systems for modeling/drafting.
  • Working knowledge of drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Familiarity with CAM systems such as MasterCam, Esprit, or Partmaker is a plus.
