Role Overview

In the position of Accountant, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, you will assume responsibility for crafting financial statements, managing transaction records, and overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable. This role is located onsite in St. Louis.

Candidate Profile

We are in search of an Accountant with a proven willingness to learn, a collaborative team-oriented approach, and the determination to surpass expectations. This role promises substantial growth opportunities and requires a robust background in fixed assets, reconciliations, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities

Make significant contributions to the monthly accounting close by performing tasks such as recording journal entries, analyzing account balances, verifying transactions, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and supporting management reporting. Efficiently manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, ensuring precise reflection of activities in financial statements. Execute month-end bank and general ledger account reconciliations. Utilize your accounting expertise to analyze and prepare accurate financial statements. Supervise the sales tax process, ensuring compliance standards and accuracy. Conduct cost accounting functions to monitor and analyze expenditures.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance. 2+ years of relevant accounting experience. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel. Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment. Possess a detail-oriented mindset, prioritizing accuracy and efficiency. Strong organizational skills, adept at tracking and managing multiple items and tasks concurrently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
